"We are fortunate to get a coach of Mike's caliber and character," said Athletic Director Gary Bailey.  "He brings a desire to build character in his players and a strong team culture."

“From 7th grade to this day, Coach Colago has always looked out for my best interest. He truly cares for his players even to the point where he was ready to support me playing for a different team if it meant it was better for my future. Through the relationships that Colago built with me and the rest of our team he was able to get the most out of us each and every day, pushing us to be better soccer players than we thought we could be, and to be better people than we thought we could be. Coach Colago does extremely well seeing players strengths and weaknesses, and then implementing them into the system in a way that utilizes their strengths while hiding their weaknesses. Colago has an unmatched passion for the game, and an unrivaled desire to be the best coach that he can be. I can truly say that there is no one I would have rather played for during my high school years than Michael Colago.” - Former Player and 2022 Big Ten Co-Freshamn of the Year, Jonathan Stout

"Coach, you emphasized the value of team camaraderie and showed me what it means to win as brothers, not just a team" - Former Player Sam Dyer
