Mike Janikowski has been hired to lead the Cougars women's basketball team. Coach Janikowski comes to Kuyper from Roosevelt University where he served as an assistant coach for the Lakers. He has also had stops at Oakland City University (IN) and Muskegon CC (MI). Coach Janikowski has also worked with the Indiana Pacers youth camps division as well as coaching various AAU teams during his 15 years coaching including the Indiana Elite Spiece Indy Gym Rats. Prior to being an assistant coach in college, Coach Janikowski was a student manager at NCAA I IPFW and Ball State University. His primary duties were filming practices, setting up drills, assisting scout teams and doing statistics.

"Mike's passion and energy will be seen on the sidelines but developing talent and seeing young people grow is his passion," said Athletic Director, Gary Bailey. I have known Mike for quite a few years and when I approached him about the job, he bought into what we are doing right away. We are fortunate to get Coach J. He brings a lot of energy to the program."

Not new to the Michigan area, Coach Mike is excited to get back to the area and build a program from the ground up! "Kuyper has enormous potential, I plan to work with Coach Bailey and the administration to unlock every bit of it!" Coach Mike Says.
