Graham McGeehan Named Men's Soccer Assistant Coach

Head Coach Mike Colago has named Graham McGeehan as an Assistant Coach for the Kuyper College Men's Soccer program. McGeehan is from Zeeland, MI. McGeehan played and coached at Zeeland West High School.

McGeehan has a direct connection the Kuyper College Men's Soccer program, as he was a member of the 2014 team at Kuyper. That was the final season that Kuyper had before discontinuing the athletics program. Graham was a starter and key contributor on Kuyper's 2014 team. When the Kuyper Men's Soccer program ended, Graham transferred to Cornerstone University, where he was a member of the Men's Soccer program in 2018 and 2019. He was named the Team Captain of Cornerstone's Reserve Team in 2019.

Graham has had a few coaching stops prior to joining Mike Colago's staff at Kuyper. McGeehan was an Assistant Coach for Zeeland West's Boys Soccer Varsity program in 2016. In 2019, he was a member of Grandville Boys Soccer's coaching staff. Since 2022, McGeehan has provided leadership coaching for over 10 differenct high school sports teams in the West Michigan Area.

Graham is very excited about the opportutnity to come back to Kuyper and help coach the Men's Soccer team. Graham wrote, "I was a member of the last Kuyper College Men's Soccer team in 2014 as a freshman, and I thoroughly enjoyed my season there. The return of soccer at Kuyper brings a lot of potential and provides an opportunity for others to experience the community and athletic fulfillment that I had. Coach Mike Colago has a great vision and passion for the program and I'm excited to come alongside and assist him in creating a good culture."

About adding Graham to the coaching fold, Head Coach Mike Colago said, "We are excited to add Graham as an Assistant Coach this season. As someone that was embedded as a past Kuyper student and Men's Soccer player, Graham shares a heart for this college and program, which I am very grateful for. Graham has offered himself up to anything the team needs and his selflessness will be a great example to our group of men. Coach McGeehan offers a lot in leadership training as well. Again, it is a giant blessing to have someone that is interested in the players both on and off the field. Thank you for joining us, Graham!"

The Cougars open their season on September 7th at Earlham College.
