Kuyper's Women's Basketball team played their best basketball of the season on Saturday, and it resulted in a resounding 61-45 win over Faith Baptist Bible College. This game marked the team's second game of the Faith Classic, an invitational on the campus of Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa. The Cougars leave Iowa with two wins, and they are back to .500 on the season.Â
On Saturday, the Cougars were led by forward
Jakya Rimpson, who had an impressive double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds. Rimpson added 2 blocks and 3 steals.
Aniya Fisher added 16 points and 8 rebounds.
Couper Agema ran the show with 5 assists, while also scoring 13 points and grabbing 5 rebounds.
Abigail Rivera-Sosa added 9 points and 8 rebounds.Â
Coach Mike Janikowski was very pleased with his team's performance on Saturday. Coach Janikowski said, "It was a total team win, everyone stepped up, everyone played their role, and I am so proud of this team. We didn't hang our heads after an ugly win yesterday and played the best team basketball that we have played all year. I will always go to battle with this group. This group is very special."Â

Kuyper moves to 4-4 on the season and 2-1 in the NCCAA II. Kuyper returns to action on Tuesday at home vs. Earlham College.Â
