The Kuyper College Volleyball program has officially wrapped up their first season since 2014. The Cougars were a participant in the 2023 NCCAA Midwest Regional Tournament this past weekend, which was hosted by Moody Bible Institute.Â
As the #5 seed, the Cougars were scheduled to take on #4 seed Moody Bible on Friday afternoon. The Cougars lost their match to the Archers by a score of 0 sets to 3. The Regional Tournament is a win-or-go-home tournament, so that loss ended the seaon for Kuyper. Grace Christian University went on to win the tournament and advance to the NCCAA National Tournament in Joplin, MO.Â
In the set against Moody Bible, freshman
Jada Munro led the Cougars with 7 kills. Freshman
Kelsey Quiggin added 4 kills to the Cougars' effort.
Angelita Ledesma set up the hitters with 11 assists on the afternoon.
Addisyn Headworth led the Cougars with 6 digs on the defensive end.Â
Kuyper's season comes to a close, where they will finish with a 3-19 record and a 3-6 NCCAA II record.Â
Kuyper College Volleyball will return to action in August of 2024, as that season will mark the second season since the return of Kuyper College athletics.
