The Kuyper College Men's Basketball team returned to action tonight after a week-long break from games. The Cougars had a rematch against the Eagles from Faith Baptist Bible College. The game took place on the campus of Emmaus Bible College, as Kuyper will play Emmaus on Saturday at 4:00pm ET.Â
Kuyper defeated Faith Baptist in the rematch on Friday night by a score of 74-68. The Cougars used an excellent second half to come back and earn the win. Kuyper went into the halftime break down 34-26, but high-level shooting from all spots on the floor in the second half was key to Kuyper's success.Â
The Cougars shot 18/20 (90%) from the free throw line on the game, which was critical in the win.Â
Kuyper was led by junior guard
Danyel Bibbs. Bibbs had 17 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists to propel the Cougars.
Elisha Searcy added 13 points (3/4 3PT) and 4 assists, including a huge three down the stretch of the game to extend Kuyper's lead.
Austin Stone and
Herman Brown each added 11 points as well.Â
Kuyper moves to 5-2 on the season, and they take on Emmaus Bible College on Saturday. This is an important matchup, as it is two teams in the Midwest Region of the NCCAA.Â
