The Kuyper College JV - Black team defeated the Kuyper JV - Purple team on Friday afternoon 96-75. The three Kuyper JV teams will play eachother twice each this season. 

The game was pretty competitive in the first half, but the JV - Black's high-powered offense proved to be the difference. 26 turnovers for JV - Purple was costly for them as well. 

Corbin Heckman was the star of the show for the JV - Black team, as he finished with 25 points on 11-12 shooting from the field. Kevin Strait added 10 points and 5 assists. Dylan Walsh finished with a near double-double in 9 points and 7 rebounds. Jayden Young and Zavion Russ each added 10 points as well.

Chad Jacobs led the way for JV - Purple. He finished with an all-around 19 points, 6 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 3 steals. Terrance Murphy added 18 points. Antwann Woods logged a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. 

JV - Purple is now 0-2 on the year and JV - Black is 1-0. JV - Purple takes on Northwood University on Tuesday, November 12th at 5:00pm at home. The JV - Black team takes on Community Christian College at 7:00pm on Monday in Detroit.
