The Kuyper College Men's Soccer team defeated Great Lakes Christian College in the Midwest Regional Semifinals on Friday afternoon by an impressive 5-0. The Cougars are now advancing to the Regional Championship match on Saturday. The Cougars will take on Grace Christian University at 2:00pm tomorrow. The tournament is hosted by Grace Christian University. 

The Cougars jumped out to an early lead in the match today behind a goal from Emmanuel Becerra-Quintana. This was Becerra-Quintana's first career goal at Kuyper. Christian Bartee scored the second goal for Kuyper. Isaac Neekpo then scored the next two goals for the Cougars to help extend their lead to 4-0. Eduardo Terrazas scored the fifth goal for Kuyper. Johnson Bondo logged 3 assists today, and Malenga Musa added another assist to the Cougars' effort. 

The Cougars will look to make history in the Regional Championship tomorrow. They would become the first Kuyper team to ever win a Regional Championship. The winner of the match will get an automatic berth to the NCCAA II National Tournament in Kissimmee, Florida.
