The Kuyper College JV - Black team traveled to Sidney, Michigan and Montcalm Community College for a weekend invitiational. The Cougars took on Grand Rapids Community College in their first game of the invitational on Saturday, where the Raiders defeated the Cougars 86-74. 

GRCC led the Cougars by 16 at half. Kuyper won the second half 47-43, but they were unable to cut into the lead enough to secure the win. 

Kevin Strait led the Cougars with 20 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. LJ McCullough scored 16 points, grabbed 9 rebounds, and finished with 4 assists and 3 steals as well. Wil TeWinkle scored 18 points on 8-11 from the field, and Caelen Kinnally scored 12 points for Kuyper. 

JV - Black moves to 3-3 on the year with the loss, and they will take on Montcalm Community College on Sunday afternoon at 3:00pm ET.
