The Kuyper College Volleyball team traveled south to Berrien Springs, MI on Friday afternoon to take on Andrews University. The Cougars lost to the Cardinals in three sets. Despite the final outcome, the Cougars found more momentum in this match than they have in recent matches. They reached 24 points in the second set, which has been a team-high for Kuyper so far this season, so it was beneficial to the team to see that progress.

Addisyn Headworth led the Cougars with 5 kills. Angelita Ledesma tied a school record of 8 aces in a match, which is a record that Ledesma currently holds, as she logged 8 aces in a match at Boyce College last season as well. Kuyper finished with 14 aces on the afternoon. 

Kuyper moves to 0-11 on the year, but it was a positive to see the Cougars push the Cardinals into longer sets. Kuyper travels across town on Saturday afternoon to take on Aquinas College. The match will begin at 4:00pm.
