This past Friday, Kuyper JV - Gold defeated Kuyper JV - Black by a score of 76-74. This season, each of the three Kuyper JV teams are playing the other Kuyper JV teams twice each. This was the first matchup of the year between JV - Gold and JV - Black.

This game was neck-and-neck throughout, with both teams going on mini runs of their own. The lead was within reach for either team at all points of the game. 

In the end, JV - Gold forced a few turnovers down the stretch to win the game, including a go-ahead bucket from Corey Pritchett to ultimately win the game. 

For JV - Black, Wil TeWinkle led the way with a career-high 19 points to go along with 7 rebounds. Dylan Walsh and Omari Peak each scored 15 points for JV - Black as well. LJ McCullough was the only other Cougar from JV - Black to reach double figures in scoring. 

For JV - Gold, Christian Stokes logged 21 points and 8 rebounds. Corey Pritchett added 18 points and 8 rebounds to go along with his game-winning bucket. Zamire Jackson and Elijah Flemming each scored 10 points as well. Elijah Flemming was an anchor on the defensive end as well, as he grabbed 8 boards and blocked 4 shots. 

Kuyper JV - Gold improves to 5-8 with the win, while JV - Black moves to 3-10.
