Kuyper College JV - Black was able to avenge Monday's lost to Dayspring Bible in the rematch on Tuesday evening. The Cougars won the game by the score of 85-62.Â
Kuyper got out to a nice lead in the first half, and was able to maintain their lead the entire second half. Kuyper shot the ball at a very high level, as they shot 50% from the field and 42.9% from three.Â
The high-powered offense for the Cougars was led by
Corbin Heckman. Heckman scored a career-high 31 points, while grabbing 11 boards to get to a double-double. Heckman was an astounding 5-7 from three.
William DeBlake added 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.
LJ McCullough filled up the stat sheet as well, as McCullough scored 11 points, while also tallying 8 boards and 10 assists.
Kuyper got a much needed win to break their losing streak. Their record improves to 4-12 on the year with the win. On Friday, the Cougars will travel across town to take on Grace Christian University at 5:00pm ET.Â
