The Kuyper College Men's Soccer program had two student-athletes earn NCCAA II Scholar-Athlete honors this year: Alex Owens and Malvern Syaluse. NCCAA Scholar-Athlete recognition is earned by student-athletes for their excellent work in the classroom. Student-athletes have multiple checkpoints that they must pass in order to earn this nationally-recognized honor. 

Owens and Syaluse have been with the Kuyper Men's Soccer program since the program returned in 2024. The 2024 team made the Regional Championship game, where they fell short 1-0. In 2025, the program had to suspend their season due to excessive season-ending injuries. Salvation Nkiko, Kuyper Head Coach, is preparing his program for the 2026 season. 

Owens and Syaluse have been excellent leaders of the Men's Soccer program, as they display on-field talent, dedication to their studies, and commitment to their faith. Congratulations to Alex Owens and Malvern Syaluse for earning the prestigious honor of NCCAA II Scholar-Athlete!
