The Kuyper College Men's Basketball program lost their final game of the Faith Classic to the host institution, Faith Baptist Bible College, by a score of 91-67.Â
Kuyper struggled offensively in this one, and Faith Baptist Bible was humming offensively. Kuyper shot just 35.8% from the field and 27.3% from three. They also shot a poor percentage from the free throw line, as the Cougars shot just 13/22 (59.1%). Additionally, Kuyper turned the ball over 15 times, leading to more possessions for the Eagles and their high-powered offense.
Faith Baptist made 16 threes on 44.4% from behind the arc. This was 10 more made threes for the Eagles than the Cougars.
Jashaun Boggerty led Kuyper with 16 points and 4 assists.
Austin Stone was the only other Kuyper player to reach double-figures, as he finished the day with 10 points. Stone scored double-figures in all three games of the Faith Classic.
Nic Yorke added 9 points and 6 rebounds.
Elijah Searcy finished the day with 8 points and a team-high 8 rebounds.
Kuyper drops to 4-6 on the year and 3-3 in the NCCAA II. Kuyper has two exhibition games this week before Thanksgiving, as they take on Northwood University on Tuesday and Ferris State University on Wednesday.
