The Kuyper College Men's Basketball team traveled to Siena Heights University on Monday evening, where the Saints defeated the Cougars by a score of 63-39. This was the first game of a three day stretch of games for the Cougars, as Kuyper will travel to NCAA II's Saginaw Valley State University on Tuesday and Lake Superior State University on Wednesday.Â
Siena Heights' defense imposed their will on the Cougars all game. The Cougars scored just 14 first half points, as they went into the halftime break down 33-14. The Cougars were better offensively in the second half, but it was not enough to overcome their deficit. Kuyper shot just 24.2% from the field and 16.7% from three.Â
Austin Stone led the way for Kuyper with 10 points and 9 rebounds.
Jacob May also scored 10 points for Kuyper and grabbed 7 rebounds.Â
Kuyper moves to 5-9 on the seaosn. Their next two match-ups will be exhibition games with SVSU and LSSU.Â
