The Kuyper College Athletics department has named Wesley Burton as the Head Coach of JV - Black. Kuyper College has two JV basketball teams, each with different rosters and coaching staffs. JV - Black and JV - Purple will be the names of each team in the Kuyper College JV Basketball program. JV - Black will be led by Wesley Burton. Burton comes to Kuyper by way of Holland, MI. He attended Holland Christian High School, before attending Grand Rapids Community College after HS. Burton is married to his wife, Andrea. 

While at Holland Christian HS, Burton was a member of the 2008 State Champion Maroons. He also played a year of football in the CFL (Candaian Football League), as well as 4 years of semi-pro football. 

As a coach, Burton has had stops as both a basketball coach, as well as a football coach. He was the owner of the Shoreline Wolves, a semipro basketball team in Michigan, for 2 years. The Wolves made the PBA Finals during his first season as the owner. He has also coached semipro football, as well as serving as part of the Holland Christian High School football staff.

Burton is excited about the opportunity of leading Kuyper JV - Black. Burton said, "What makes me the most excited about coaching at Kuyper College is that I get to help the young men become one. I get to help them become better humans in this world by offering my life experiences. The second reason that I am excited about this opportunity is to be able to develop the young men into better players on and off the court." He lated added, "I cannot wait to grow as a man, a coach, and as a man of God."
