The Kuyper College Men's Basketball team defeated Moody Bible Institute on Friday evening, 90-75. The Cougars defeated Moody Bible earlier this month by a score of 112-49. This one was a more competitive game, but the Cougars were able to win the rematch. This was a big game for the Cougars, as Moody Bible is a member of the NCCAA II Midwest Region, as is Kuyper.Â
Kuyper came out of the gates ready to go, as they built a big lead early. They went into the halftime break up 54-28. Moody made the game more competitive in the second half, but it was not enough to take the lead from Kuyper.Â
Kuyper got a great team effort in this one, as they had 11 players find themselves in the scoring column. Additionally, they had 5 players score in double digits.
Latrell Jennings led Kuyper with 17 points on 6/10 shooting from the field.
Nic Yorke added 14 points on 7/9 from the field.
Elijah Searcy and
Arlind Avdo each poured in 12 points, while Braden VandeMeer added 11 points to the Cougars' effort.
The Cougars improved to 11-14 on the season with the win over Moody Bible.
