The Kuyper College Women's Basketball team lost their home opener on Wednesday night by a score of 44-80. The Cougars were defeated by Indiana University Kokomo (NAIA).Â
This home game was the first home women's basketball game on the campus of Kuyper College since the 2014-2015 season.Â
Kuyper was led in scoring by freshman
Aniya Fisher, who had 12 points. Fisher also grabbed 13 rebounds, making it a double-double for the freshman from Grandville, MI. Fisher's double-double marked the first double-double of the season for the Cougars.
Abigail Rivera-Sosa added 10 points to the Cougars effort.
Laia Vidaller had 9 rebounds on the night. The Cougars were led in assists by freshman
Couper Agema, who had 5 assists.Â
Tonight's loss moves the Cougars to 0-3 on the season, but they return to action with another home game on Saturday, November 4th vs. Calumet College of St. Joseph.Â
