Men's Varsity Basketball returned to the campus of Kuyper College and Boonstra Gymnasium on Friday night with a big win over NCCAA II opponent, Boyce College. 

Boonstra Gymnasium was rocking this evening, as Coach Gary Bailey earned his first win of his tenure at Kuyper College. The Cougars defeated the Bulldogs by a score of 95-80. 

The game started a bit sloppy, with lots of turnovers on each end. However, the team's got their feet under them and calmed some first-game nerves, and the game was back and forth for a bit. The Cougars were able to establish a lead with high-level defense and lots of transition baskets. Kuyper protected the rim with a handful of impressive blocks, which led to thunderous dunks on the other end. 

Kuyper was led in scoring by Jeremiah Jolliffi, who had 21 points and 8 rebounds on the evening. Jolliffi provided the Cougars with lots of momentum throughout the night with two massive dunks. Herman Brown had an impressive showing on the night, as he had 20 points (5-7 3FG), 13 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Danyel Bibbs orchestrated the show with 14 points and 9 assists. 

All 18 Cougars were able to get minutes tonight, with 12 of them scoring. 

Jeremiah Jolliffi was named the Player of the Game. His night was an impressive one, as he finished with 21 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks. Additionally, he scored the first basket for Kuyper College since the return of the athletic program. 

Tonight's win moves Kuyper to 1-0 on the season (1-0 NCCAA II). They return to action tomorrow (Saturday) with a 3:00pm ET game down the road at Cornerstone University.
