The Kuyper College Women's Basketball team won big tonight by a score of 74-44 over Andrews University. This win extends the Cougars' win streak to two games.
Kuyper lead this game from end to end. The Cougars' defense stifled the Cardinals, as Kuyper held Andrews to 27.4% from the field and 11.1% from three.Â
Kuyper's offensive attack was led by
Jakya Rimpson and
Aniya Fisher, as they each had 19 points on the evening. Fisher had 10 rebounds to add to her effort, making it her second double-double of the season. Rimpson neared a double-double, as she had 8 rebounds on the night.
Couper Agema filled up the stat sheet with 15 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists.
Maria Sobany added 8 points and 7 assists.Â
Coach Mike Janikowski was pleased with his team's effort. "We were really good tonight! We knew from film that we were going to be able to get out and run, and we executed that well. Obviously, we still need to continue to work and keep getting better, but 2 in a row feels pretty good!"
Kuyper plays again on Saturday at home, where they will take on Blackburn College at 3:00pm.
