The Kuyper College Women's Basketball Team won a Midwest Regional matchip today by a score of 68-57. The Cougars finished this roadtrip off in Iowa with a 2-0 record. The Cougars are now 4-0 in their games in Iowa so far this season.Â
Kuyper was led today by
Aniya Fisher and
Couper Agema. Fisher had 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals. Agema also had 15 points, to go along with 7 assists and 6 steals.
Jakya Rimpson had 14 points and 7 rebounds.
Laia Vidaller had 12 points and 5 rebounds.Â
When asked about the game, Coach Mike Janikowski said, "All I can say is that we found a way! When we can cause turnovers (33) and move the ball like we did (20 assists), we are going to beat a lot of teams. There are things that we have to clean up, but coming away this weekend 2-0 is a blessing!"
The Cougars are now above .500 for the first time this season, as they have a 6-5 record. The Cougars will have a bit of a break, as they do not play again until December 16th, where they will take on Earlham College.
