The Kuyper College Men's Basketball team lost a hard-fought battle at Spring Arbor University on Tuesday night. The final score of the game was 80-93.Â
Kuyper went into the halftime break down by 12. In the second half, Spring Arbor was able balloon the lead to more than 20 points, but Kuyper continued to fight. The Cougars were unable to narrow the gap enough in the end.Â
The Cougars played a very clean game, as they finished with only 9 turnovers. However, they struggled to slow down the dominant big man from Spring Arbor, Gabe Newhof. Newhof finished with an impressive 37 points.
Kuyper was led in scoring by
Danyel Bibbs. Bibbs filled the stat sheet with 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists, while only turning the ball over one time.
Elisha Searcy added 16 points and 5 assists.
Herman Brown had 14 points, while
Jeremiah Jolliffi and
Austin Stone added 12 and 11.Â
With the loss, the Cougars move to 6-3 on the season. They play Lake Michigan College on Wednesday night at home.Â
