The Kuyper College Cougars defeated the Archers from Moody Bible Institute tonight, by a score of 3-1. This match was the first of two matches for the team's weekend road trip. Despite losing the first set of the match, the Cougars were able to regain momentum and win the remaining three sets of the match. The Archers are a familiar opponent to the Cougars, as this is the third match of the season between the teams. Kuyper currently leads 2 to 1 in the season series with Moody.Â

Tori Johnston said, "Going into the game, we decided to make some last-minute changes, and they paid off in a great way!" Johnston added, "I am very proud of our girls. We are looking to keep it going into tomorrow."Â
With tonight's win, the Cougars improve to 2-4 on the season, and 2-1 in the NCCAA II. The Cougars are back in action tomorrow, September 2nd, with another match at Moody Bible Institute. The match will begin at 12:00pm ET.Â
