The Kuyper College Women's Basketball team earned a nice road win over Andrews University on Thursday evening. The Cougars defeated the Cardinals 64-44 tonight. The Cougars are now 2-0 on the season against Andrews, as they beat the Cardinals 74-44 back on November 7th. 

Kuyper's defense was critical to the Cougars' success, as Kuyper did not really get going offensively the way they can. Kuyper limited Andrews to 25.4% from the field and 5.9% from three. Kuyper also forced 26 turnovers in the contest. 

Kuyper got an impressive performance from Shonyah Hawkins tonight, as she finished with 26 points, 6 rebounds, and 9 steals. She also added 3 blocks to the Cougars' effort. Jakya Rimpson added 13 points and 8 rebounds for Kuyper. Aniya Fisher finished with 12 points and 9 rebounds. 

Kuyper improves to 10-6 on the season. Kuyper has a big NCCAA Midwest Regional matchup on Saturday, as they host Grace Christian University at 5:00pm.
