The Kuyper College Men's Basketball school-record of 7 straight wins has come to an end with a loss at Asbury University on Friday evening. The Cougars lost to Asbury by a final score of 92-77.Â
The Cougars went into the halftime break up 6. However, the Cougars struggled to get stops in the second half, leading to an explosive 52 second-half points for Asbury. Offense was not an issue for the Cougars on Friday evening, but they just could not string together enough stops.Â
Danyel Bibbs lead the Cougars with 21 points and 7 rebounds.
Elisha Searcy finished with 19 points and 5 rebounds on 5 made threes.
Richard Major added 9 points to the Cougars' effort.
Kuyper moves to 15-5 on the year. They return to action with tomorrow (Satruday) with a huge NCCAA II matchup at Boyce College in Louisville, KY. The game will tip off at 2:00pm ET.Â
