The Kuyper College JV - Gold team lost this past Thursday evening to Calvin JV. The final score was 74-59. The Cougars really struggled in the first half, as they went into the halftime break down 41-15. However, a much better second half brought the game back to a more competitive margin. 

Calvin's stifling defense was the difference in this one, as they held the Cougars to 30.9% from the field as a team and 22.7% from three. 

Kuyper was led in scoring by James Weaver, who logged 17 points and 8 rebounds. Gregory Thomas III neared a double-double with 13 points and 9 rebounds. 

The Cougars moved to 1-4 on the year with the loss.
