The Kuyper College Men's Basketball team got a home win on Monday night, defeating Andrews University by a score of 63-47. The Cougars led nearly wire-to-wire in the game, and were able to protect home court.Â
Kuyper's defense was the difference in this one, as they held Andrews to just 24.7% from the field and 22.6% from three. The Cougars out-rebounded the Cardinals 66-40. Kuyper's offense was not a bright spot tonight, as they shot just 33.3% from the field and 18.2% from three.Â
Kuyper was led by freshman
Sam Dillard, who finished with an impressive double-double of 15 points and 14 rebounds. 14 rebounds is a career-high for Dillard.
Herman Brown also finished with a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. He also had 4 blocks for the Cougars.
Damion Cochran added 8 points to the Cougars' effort.
Jacob May finished with 6 points and 8 rebounds.
Elisha Searcy added 7 points and 4 rebounds.Â
Kuyper moves to 3-6 on the year with the win. Kuyper hosts Spring Arbor on Tuesday at 5:00pm.
