The Kuyper College Men's Basketball team opened their season on Tuesday night with a narrow loss to Holy Cross College in Indiana. The final score was 77-72. The game was back and forth for its entirety, with Kuyper having a small lead for much of the game.Â
Kuyper got out to an early lead, and they carried a 39-32 lead into the halftime break. However, Holy Cross cut into that lead early in the second half, and the game was back and forth for the rest of it. The biggest lead for either team at any point was just 9 points.Â
Herman Brown led the way for Kuyper with 21 points and 7 rebounds. He shot 6-12 from three.
Danyel Bibbs added 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. Kuyper newcomers
Jacob May and
Sam Dillard each added 9 points to Kuyper's effort.Â
Kuyper moves to 0-1 on the year with the loss, but they are right back to it on Wednesday, where they will travel to Goshen College for another NAIA match-up.Â
