The Kuyper College JV - Gold team traveled to Chicago, IL on Saturday to take on Dayspring Bible College. This was a neutral site game for the Cougars, as the game was played at NOW Arena, which is home to the NBA G-League Windy City Bulls. The Windy City Bulls are the G-League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls. The Cougars played Dayspring in the early afternoon, and then they got to stay and enjoy a Windy City Bulls game.Â
The Cougars lost to Dayspring by a narrow score of 81-78. Kuyper went into the halftime break up 45-37, but the momentum flipped in the second half. The Cougars were outscored by 11 points in the second half. Kuyper's free throw shooting was a hindrance in this one, as they shot just 7/16 from the line (44%). In a narrow loss, those 9 missed free throws came back to bite the Cougars.Â

Christian Stokes, who finished with 20 points and 9 rebounds.
James Weaver and
A'Mari Stephens each added 14 points for Kuyper.
Gregory Thomas III finished with 12 points.Â
Kuyper JV - Gold moves to 4-7 on the year with the loss. They will head across town to take on Grace Christian University on Wednesday night at 7:00pm.Â
