The Kuyper College JV - Gold team dropped a road game to crosstown rival, Grace Christian JV, on Wednesday night by a score of 106-92. This was the second match-up of the year between these two teams, and the Cougars won round one of the match-up by a score of 78-63.Â
The Cougars struggled in the first half of this one, as they were down 53-28 at the halftime break. The Cougars outscored the Tigers 64-53 in the second half, but their first half deficit was too much to overcome.Â
Christian Stokes led the way with 25 points and 9 rebounds.
A'Mari Stephens added 17 points to the Cougars' effort.
Corey Pritchett finished with 16 points and
Gregory Thomas III finished with 11 points and 7 rebounds.
Zamire Jackson had a nice performance as well, scoring 13 points and dishing out 6 assists.Â
Kuyper JV - Gold moves to 4-8 on the season. They return to action after Christmas Break, where they will travel to Lawrence Tech University on January 9th.Â
