The Kuyper College Men's Basketball team dropped a close road game to Ohio Christian University on Tuesday evening. The Cougars lost to the Trailblazers by a final score of 90-83.
This game was back and forth throughout, with each team going on runs of their own. Kuyper led by ten early in the first half, but the Trailblazers countered with a run of their own. Ohio Christian went into the halftime break up 42-37.Â
The second half was a high-scoring half, as Ohio Christian won the second half 48-46. Kuyper was unable to get enough defensive stops down the stretch in order to win the game.Â
Kuyper was led by senior
Herman Brown, who finished with a career-high 31 points and 6 rebounds. Brown continued his great play, coming off of his NCCAA II Student-Athlete of the Week honors from last week.
Danyel Bibbs filled the stat sheet with 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Damion Cochran added 16 points and 5 rebounds to the Cougars' effort.Â
Kuyper moves to 4-8 on the year with the loss. They travel to Iowa for two NCCAA II games this weekend. Kuyper will take on Faith Baptist Bible College for a second time on Friday evening. Kuyper won the first match up 92-73. On Saturday, the Cougars will take on Emmaus Bible College in a regional match up. The games will be played at Emmaus Bible College in Dubuque, Iowa.Â
