The Kuyper College Women's Basketball team traveled to Dubuque, Iowa for games on Friday and Saturday. The Cougars took on Faith Baptist Bible College on Friday night in a rematch. This was a big time NCCAA match-up, as the Eagles are currently ranked #4 in the nation, while the Cougars are ranked #6. These two teams played in late November, where Faith Baptist earned a narrow win at home over the Cougars.
This one was another competitive game, but fourth quarter woes plagued the Cougars. Kuyper lost this one to Faith Baptist by a score of 70-60. Kuyper led by 10 heading into the fourth, but Faith Baptist outscored Kuyper 27-7 in the fourth quarter to earn the Top 10 win.Â
Couper Agema led the Cougars with 18 points and 5 rebounds. She shot 6/9 from behind the three-point line.
Jakya Rimpson logged an impressive double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds. Byrnne Johnson added 8 points, and
Abigail Rivera-Sosa added 7 points.
Kuyper moves to 3-7 on the season with the loss.Â
