The Kuyper College JV - Gold team lost to Cornerstone JV on Monday evening by a score of 98-95. This was the first game for the Cougars coming off of their 2-0 road trip in Nashville, Tennessee. Cornerstone jumped out to a 51-36 halftime lead. However, Kuyper's second half offense was high-powered, as they scored 59 points in the second half. Their second half effort was impressive, but the Cougars fell just short. Kuyper had a shot from just inside half court to tie the game, but it did not fall, and the Golden Eagles secured the win.Â
Keith Parker had a monster game for the Cougars, as he scored a career-high 27 points, while also grabbing 9 rebounds and getting 3 steals.
Christian Stokes added 23 points on 10-11 shooting from the field.
Corey Pritchett scored 15 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.
James Weaver added 13 points and dished out 6 assists.Â
The Cougars move to 4-5 on the season with the loss. JV - Gold takes on Kennedy Collegiate Institute Prep on Thursday evening at 7:00pm ET.Â
