The Kuyper College Men's Basketball team bounced back from Tuesday's loss at Great Lakes Christian College with another NCCAA II win over Maranatha Baptist University on Saturday. Maranatha Baptist traveled to Kuyper earlier this year, where Kuyper defeated the Sabercats 87-58 back on January 13th. On Saturday, the Cougars won the rematch by a final score of 85-66. 

Kuyper was able to score at an efficient rate throughout the afternoon, as they shot 48.6% from the field and 100% from the free throw line. They held the Sabercats to 33.9% from the field. Additionally, the Cougars dominated the paint, as Kuyper outscored Maranatha Baptist 44-18 in the paint. 

Kuyper was led by Damion Cochran with 21 points on 9-13 shooting. Jeremiah Jolliffi logged a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Herman Brown finished the game with 17 points on 5-7 from three. Danyel Bibbs also logged a double-double for Kuyper, as he finished with 12 points and 11 assists. He had 8 rebounds on the day as well.

Kuyper improves to 19-7 with the win and 15-4 in the NCCAA II. The Cougars have a big rivalry game on Thursday, February 15th, as they will travel across town to Grace Christian University for the Cross Cup Game.
