The Kuyper College Developmental - Purple lost to the Cornerstone University JV team in the 2024 Cougar Classic JV Tournament on Friday afternoon. The score was 61-64. The Cougars are now out of contention for the Cougar Classic Championship, but they will play in a consolation game on Saturday at noon. They will take on the Crusaders from Great Lakes Christian. 

The Cougars fought back and mounted an impressive comeback in the second half, but they game-tying three-point attempt at the buzzer did not go. Kuyper was led by Corey Pritchett, who finished with 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 steals. Rylee Carter and Terrance Murphy added 14 points each. Grady Schippers finished with 12 points on 4-5 shooting from three. 

The Cougars move to 6-16 on the year. They will close their season out on Saturday with a consolation game vs. Great Lakes Christian College. The game will tip-off around noon.
