The Kuyper College Women's Basketball team defeated the Appalachian Bible College on Saturday by a score of 84-37. The Cougars got out to an early first quarter lead, and they continued to maintain control of the game throughout. 

Kuyper was led by Shonyah Hawkins with 22 points and 11 steals (t-school record and career-high). Maria Sobany added 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals. Jakya Rimpson finished with 9 points. All 9 of the Cougars got minutes and scored in the game. 

Kuyper improves on their program-record win total on the year, as they are now 13-8 on the year. The Cougars are 10-3 in the NCCAA II. Kuyper travels to Lansing, MI on Tuesday for a huge rematch with Great Lakes Christian College at 5:00pm ET. Great Lakes defeated Kuyper back on January 17th by a score of 68-71.
