The Kuyper College Volleyball program lost their home opener on Thursday night by a final score of 0 sets to 3. The Cougars took on Montcalm Community College, who they played earlier this week. The Cougars were able to feed off the home crowd energy and stay competitive for a good portion of the first set, but Montcalm Community College ended up gaining momentum and taking control of the match.Â
The Cougars were led in kills by
Addisyn Headworth, who finished the evening with 3 kills.
Aniya Fisher had a couple of kills on the evening as well.
Angelita Ledesma led the Cougars in assists with 7 of them.
Lillie Golm led the Cougars with 8 digs.Â
Kuyper moves to 0-7 on the season, but they are beginning to play better volleyball. The Cougars are looking to put it altogether in their next match and secure their first victory of the year. The Cougars will travel to Lansing on Wednesday, September 11th, to take on NCCAA Midwest Regional opponent, Great Lakes Christian College. The match will begin at 6:00pm.Â
