The Kuyper College Volleyball team traveled south to Berrien Springs on Tuesday evening for a rematch with Andrews University. The Cougars defeated the Cardinals in their first match-up back on October 23rd. In the rematch, the Cougars won in four sets again. Just like the first match-up between these two teams, the Cardinals won the opening set, and the Cougars responded with three set wins of their own.Â
On Thursday evening, Andrews won the first set in commanding fashion. However, Kuyper responded well, as they won the following three sets. The scores of each set were: 13-25 (AU), 25-17 (KC), 25-16 (KC), 25-23 (KC).Â
Rachel Romero led the Cougars with 16 kills and 19 digs on the night.
Aliyah Garner added 13 kills and 28 digs.
Brooke Moore led the Cougars with 29 digs, a new school record for the Cougars. Moore continues to break her own records this season with her impressive dig totals.
Trina Nelson added 19 assists and 12 digs, while
Catherine Cone added 18 assists.Â
The Cougars move to 5-19 on the year. They will host Grace Christian University on Saturday, November 1st, at 3:00pm. This game will be the Cougars' regular season finale.Â
