The Kuyper College Volleyball program has signed their first recruit for the 2026 recruiting class, as Sophia Allard, a 5'10" setter from Dallas, Texas, has signed on with the Cougars. Allard is a senior at Parish Episcopal School in Dallas. Sophia is the daughter of Nicole and Wade Allard.
Allard is a setter and comes to Kuyper with an impressive volleyball resume. Sophia earned All-Region honors. Additionally, she has won 2 State Championships during her career. Allard has played club volleyball for seven years. She is currently playing for DIG VBC.
As a student, Sophia intends to study interdisciplinary studies and criminal justice. She is a very high-level student, who takes her academics seriously. This is evident in her 4.0 unweighted GPA. She was also recognized as the top student in multiple AP classes that she has taken. Lastly, Allard earned the Gold Level distinction from the National Green Schools Society for her commitment to environmental leadership and sustainability.
When asked what excites her most about the opportunity to continue her playing career at Kuyper College, Sophia said, "What makes me most excited to join the Kuyper College Women's Volleyball program is how kind Coach
Tori Johnston and the girls are! It's such a blessing to be able to play the sport that I love around such genuine and kind hearts. I'm so excited to have the opportunity to lead the team in a 5-1 offense, and I can't wait to be a part of this program! Thank you to Coach Johnston!"
Sophia Allard is the first signee of Coach Johnston's 2026 recruiting class. The Cougars just capped off their regular season on Saturday, and they now have their sights set on the NCCAA II Midwest Regional Tournament.
