The Kuyper College Men's Basketball team lost 85-58 to Ohio Christian University on Friday afternoon. The Cougars and Trailblazers played earlier this season, where the Trailblazers won in Circleville, Ohio. Ohio Christian is having a tremendous season, as they are now up to 22-4 on the year.Â
Kuyper and Ohio Christian played a first half that was competitive and full of lead changes. The second half was a different story, as the Trailblazers built on their first half lead in the second half and never looked back. Ohio Christian played a very clean game, as they only committed 5 turnovers to Kuyper's 11. Ohio Christian made 11 threes on the day, while Kuyper made just 6.Â
Kuyper was led in scoring by freshman
Sam Dillard, who finished with 18 points.
Damion Cochran scored 16 points for the Cougars off the bench.
Richard Major and
Herman Brown each scored 1- points for Kuyper.
Latrell Jennings and
Herman Brown each grabbed a team-high 8 rebounds on the afternoon.Â
Kuyper moves to 10-12 on the season with the loss. On Tuesday, they will travel to Chicago to take on Moody Bible Institute. The Cougars defeated the Archers earlier this week at home.
