The Kuyper College JV Basketball program has added another signee to their 2025 recruiting class. Matt Ritter, a 6'0 guard, from Lakeview High School, has signed with the Cougars. Ritter has played two seasons of collegiate basketball, as he played at Wayne County Community College, after graduating from Lakeview HS. 

Ritter had a decorated career at Lakeview. He was named First Team All-County, as well as First Team All-Division. He was also named MVP of his conference. Lastly, Ritter earned All-State Honorable Mention and was named Third Team All-State by the Detroit Free Press. Ritter averaged over 22 points per game as a senior at Lakeview. At Wayne County Community College, Ritter was a prolific three-point shooter. He will look to build on that success here at Kuyper. 

As a student, Ritter graduated with honors, showing his ability to balance athletics and academics. 

Ritter said about the opportunity at Kuyper, "I am most excited to finish out school and continue my basketball career."
