The Kuyper College Volleyball program lost to the Centurions of Montcalm Community College on Tuesday evening. The Centurions defeated the Cougars in three sets, with the first two sets being extremely competitive and back-and-forth. The Cougars and the Centurions played earlier this season, and it was a 3-0 win for Montcalm Community College. 

The Cougars lost the first set on Tuesday evening by a score of 25-22. The second set was even closer, as the Cougars lost 26-24 to go down 2-0 in sets. In the third set, the Centurions took control and won 25-15. 

Kuyper fed off a great crowd and great energy in Boonstra Gymnasium all night. Despite the loss, they continued to compete and respond with runs to make it a hard-fought win for the Centurions. 

Aliyah Garner led the Cougars with 17 kills. Garner was accurate with her attempts as well, as she had only 4 errors to go along with her 17 kills. Rachel Romero filled the stat sheet for the Cougars, as she logged 6 kills and 17 digs. Brooke Moore led the Cougars with 18 digs. Catherine Cone finished with 15 assists on the evening, while Trina Nelson added 6 assists.

Kuyper drops to 0-5 on the year with the loss. They travel to Chicago this weekend to take on Midwest Regional opponent in Moody Bible on Friday. After Friday, the Cougars will take on Dayspring Bible College and Crown College on Saturday.
