The Kuyper College Men's Basketball team lost on Friday evening to Alice Lloyd College by a final score of 88-79. The game was played at Alice Lloyd, in Pippa Passes, Kentucky. Alice Lloyd is NAIA/NCCAA I. 

The Cougars and Eagles played a competitive game throughout, but Alice Lloyd led much of the game. At the half, Kuyper trailed by 5, 42-37. Kuyper struggled to get enough stops down the stretch of the game. 

Kuyper's frontcourt led the way for Kuyper. Austin Stone finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. This performance helped Stone earn NCCAA II Student-Athlete of the Week honors. Jacob May had a great game as well, as he finished with 20 points on 9-12 from the field. Elijah Searcy and Nick Moore each scored 10 points for the Cougars. 

Kuyper dropped to 9-11 on the year with the loss. The Cougars will take on Alice Lloyd in a rematch at Kuyper on February 6th.
