Kuyper College's JV Basketball Program has signed Joey Taylor from Churubusco High School in Indiana. Joey, the son of Bob and Danielle Taylor, as well as Todd and Angela Thomas, is a 5'11 sharpshooting guard. 

During his career at Churubusco High School, Taylor accomplished many significant feats. As a senior, Taylor was named MVP of the team, as well as Winter Sport Athlete of the Year at Churubusco. Additionally, he earned First Team All-Area and All-Conference. He finished last season with 404 points, which was good for second in the area. He was named the Player of the Game four times throughout the year, and he was also named to the Northeast Corner All-Star Team for the state of Indiana. 

His senior stats were: 19ppg, 2.8apg, and 2.0spg. He shot the ball at a very efficient level, as he finished the year at 45% from three. 

As a student at Churubusco, he made the Honor Roll. Joey intends to study Youth Ministry at Kuyper. 

When asked about what makes him most excited about continuing his basketball career at Kuyper, he said, "I am excited to attend Kuyper and play Men's Basketball. I'm excited to get into a new atmosphere with a new team and coaches, as well as create chemistry on and off the court. I'm excited to become a great asset to the Cougar Nation and get 1% better each day." 

Coach Tyler Whitcomb is excited about the addition of Joey to the Kuyper College JV Basketball program. About Joey, Coach Whitcomb said, "Joey is a high level shooter that can light it up. He will come in and contribute right away. Joey is also a tremendous young man."
