The Kuyper College Women's Basketball 2025-2026 season has been suspended. 

Kuyper President Patricia Harris has released the following message: 

"The Women's Basketball program has made the difficult decision to pause competition for the 2025–2026 season. After thoughtful reflection, the College has determined that taking a one-year pause will best support the long-term health, stability, and success of the program.

This decision comes after careful discussions among the athletic staff, coaches, players, and College leadership. By making this decision now, Kuyper can protect student eligibility, prevent mid-season challenges, and assist partnering institutions with scheduling.

I want you to know that we remain deeply committed to our student-athletes and to the future of Women's Basketball at Kuyper. This pause allows us to strengthen our foundation, support our players well, and prepare for a successful return to competition.

Head Coach Terry Smith has already begun building relationships, recruiting new student-athletes, and shaping the vision for the program's future. His leadership will focus on creating a strong and competitive roster, fostering a Christ-centered and supportive team culture, and preparing for a full return to gameplay in the 2026–2027 season.

We are confident and hopeful about the future of Women's Basketball and look forward to renewed energy and growth in the coming year.
