Former Kuyper College Women's Basketball player, Zyona Talley, has began her semi-professional basketball career. Talley, played two seasons at Jackson College before transferring to Kuyper for her final two seasons of collegiate eligibility. Talley was a member of the 2023-2024 Kuyper WBB team, which marked the return of Women's Basketball to Kuyper College. Prior to the 2023-2024 season, Kuyper did not have athletics since 2015. Talley played in 43 games over the course of her two seasons at Kuyper, helping the Cougars reach the Midwest Regional Championship game in back to back seasons. 

Zyona has began her semi-professional career with the Kalamazoo Blaze. The Blaze are a member of the WABA (Women's American Basketball Association). The WABA is a 19-team semi-professional basketball league. The 2025 WABA season began in July, marking the beginning of its 9th season as a league.
