The Kuyper College Men's Soccer program has added another signee to their 2026 recruiting class, as Head Coach Nkiko has announced the signing of Deondre Mathis. Mathis is a winger from Hastings, Michigan. Mathis was a three-sport athlete at Hastings, as he played soccer, basketball, and football. Mathis is the son of Jessice LaDere and David Kyulu-Burgess. 

Mathis brings versatility and athleticism to Kuyper's team. His experience of playing three sports at the high school level displays his athleticism. Mathis played club soccer since he was young, where he played for TASC Travel League, the West Michigan Galaxy, and MFA Revolution E64. 

Mathis is the sixth signee of Head Coach Salvation Nkiko's first recruiting class.
