Box Score The Kuyper College Women's Basketball team lost to Earlham College on Saturday afternoon by a score of 64-34. The Cougars fell behind early and were never able to get going offensively on the day.Â
Earlham took a double-digit lead into the first quarter break, as they led 21-7. Kuyper really struggled on the offensive end of the floor in this contest, as they shot just 20% from the field. Additionally, the Cougars only shot 18.8% from three as a team.Â
Jakya Rimpson and
Aniya Fisher led the Cougars with 11 points each.
Brynne Johnson added 6 points for the Cougars.
Couper Agema led the Cougars in rebounds with 12.Â
The Cougars move to 1-4 on the year with the loss. They will host Grace Christian University on Tuesday at 5:00pm. This will be the Cougars first NCCAA II test of the season, as well as their first Midwest Regional match-up. The Cougars defeated the rival Tigers in all three match-ups last season, and Kuyper currently has the Cross Cup trophy. The Cross Cup trophy is on the line Tuesday night.Â
