The Kuyper College Men's Basketball team has signed Gabe Daniel, a 6'9 forward from Erie, Michigan. Daniel comes to Kuyper from Dundee High School and Montcalm Community College. Daniel played one season at Montcalm Community College, so he still has three years of eligibility remaining. Gabe is the son of Crystal Lee and Michael Grames. 

Daniel is a versatile forward who shows the ability to stretch the floor and make perimeter shots. His collegiate playing experience will prove to be valuable for the Cougars, as he played in 26 games last season. At Dundee High School, Daniel helped lead the program to two District Championships.

As a student, Daniel intends to study Sports Management at Kuyper. At Dundee, Gabe earned the Business Key for his academic work in the area of business.

Gabe is excited about the opportunity to continue his collegiate playing career at Kuyper. When asked what makes him most excited about the opportunity, Daniel said, "I feel that Kuyper basketball will shape me to become not a only a better basketball player, but also a better person. When this opportunity arose, I had to jump at it. I'm very excited to start my new chapter at Kuyper and get to know my new coaches, new teammates, and the new people that I will meet here. I'd also like to thank God for this opportunity, and I thank my family and friends for supporting me." 

Head Coach Gary Bailey said of Daniel and his signing, "We are so happy to have Gabe with us next season. We're also happy to habe another great family as part of the program. Gabe brings good height at that 3/4 spot at 6'9". He isa very good defender as well, and he will help us against other teams with size. He isa very good player right now, but his desire to improve could really take him to the next level." 

Daniel is the fourth signee of Kuyper's 2025 recruiting class, joining Sincere Hatch, Nick Moore, and Joe Iung. The Cougars open their season on the road at Indiana Wesleyan on October 28th.
